This is basically an article out of SHAPE magazine, made into "sundae" form. It has matcha, goji berries, cacao nibs, and mulberries (no kale, walnuts, kefir, or acai though).
I let the astringency of the matcha take over the banana and pineapple base, so this is just barely sweet. Cacao nibs are somewhat like the the crunchies in Carvel cakes of yore, but denser, and with an espresso-like maturity.
Someone at Whole Foods told me that mulberries are the only berry with protein in them. Once you hear that, you will think of steak when you eat mulberries. Plus, maybe it's just me, but I think that goji berries taste like sweaty gym socks smell. That doesn't stop me from eating them though. I'm okay with superfoods tasting somewhat... hormonal?
RECIPE: Vitamix 1 1/2 frozen bananas, 1/2 cup frozen pineapple, and 2 tablespoons of matcha. Top with cacao nibs, goji berries, and mulberries.
Chase with bee pollen.
